The lady who runs this restaurant has kept it open for 36 years!! That’s longer than I’ve been alive! That is mad testament to her commitment and zeal. And you can absolutely taste it. Her breakfast fried rice has been perfected over the ages. It has just the right textures, seasoning, ingredients—EVERYTHING. And my goodness, the portion. Far too generous. Do this place a solid and try out their food!! They have so many options on the menu, I gotta come back for the rest. Entrance is on Mariposa, not Wilshire. I’ve included a pic to show where it’s at.
Came in for brunch, this spot has a nice atmosphere (patio with plants pictured below) and delicious food. The owners are very nice and genuinely hospitable. I had the croissant breakfast sandwich which I recommend!
The food was delicious. The tuna melt and quesadilla was my favorite. Everything is pretty cheap and worth it. The people who work there know us since we were regulars since 2022 or maybe even before! We got complementary fries and warm welcomes. The atmosphere there is nice and quiet. This place is a 10/10 would recommend forever.
Absolutely amazing hidden gem, and I mean it when I say hidden. It is on the second floor and it might take you some time to figure out where it is located. Not a lot of people know about Bistro. But once you find it, I guarantee you will become a regular. Food is always fresh and VERY delicious, there is a huge variety to choose from, service is great, there is a nice patio with plants, and most importantly prices are lower than the competition, which makes this place an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch. I tried multiple items on the menu and they are all great! My go to are sushi bento box and chicken avocado wrap.
What a terrific hidden gem!!! Bistro on the boulevard probably serves the local community a whole lot more than it did tourists like me, but the food was delicious, the staff was very kind and accommodating, and I absolutely loved the environment as they were plants EVERYWHERE!!! They had a beautiful outdoor seating area and a wide selection of delectable food. I would absolutely recommend this place to any local or traveler.
This place was an ok experience. You order and pay at the cashier. They do cook everything fresh at that moment. Once your order is ready, they call your order number. You add condiments at the counter and then go sit. We loved the bacon, it was very crispy. The rest of the food as I said it's fresh and ok. The pancakes are on the smaller side. Once you're done, you throw your trash and leave plates in a designated area. There's no actual personal service.
Absolutely love this restaurant it never lets me down I leave happy & full every time I come. It’s always quiet, high quality food, very sweet owners who are great at cooking and showing warmth & hospitality, incredible collection of plants inside & out. I love sitting on the patio on a warm sunny day. Anyone I’ve ever brought here also loves it. I love the turkey sandwiches, home fries, and salad bar. They have coffee that you can serve yourself, occasionally I order a muffin super basic cafe menu with American and Asian options, well executed and well priced.
Can't express how blowen away we were with our experience eating here. Me and my wife were visiting LA and my wife qas 7 month pregnant at the time. We were looking for a good place to eat brunch, as my wife is vegetarian and pregnant. I wanted to make sure that the food is fresh. Everything in the area was fast food, food this place on google maps, decided to go bc of its reviews. The place is a ut hard to find (take the stairs on the side of the building to the 2nd floor garage and the restaurant is in the middle). Appon arrival, the place looks cozy, we odered a veggie sandwich and the lady who took our order noticed that my wife my pregnant, so she cut everything fresh for us. And the sandwhich was so good we ordered it again. Apparently that lady was the owner (SUJI). Suji is a very sweet lady and so caring of the customers. Her number one goal is fresh food and customer service. What else can u ask for. We will definitely visit her next time we are in LA and highly recommend people to visit her restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
